What is Dostarlimab
Dostarlimab is a drug that blocks the effects of the colony stimulating factor (CSF) and interleukin-2 (IL-2). This drug binds to CSF, which is a protein that stimulates the production of white blood cells. Blocking CSF prevents an overgrowth of white blood cells, and is used to treat certain types of cancer.
Who Invented Dostarlimab
There are a number of people who are credited with inventing dostarlimab. The first person to mention the use of the drug was Dr. Dennis Slamon, who published a paper in 2002 in which he described the use of the drug in breast cancer treatment.
In 2002, Nabil El-Serag, a doctor at Mount Sinai Hospital, published a paper in which he described the use of the drug in treating colorectal cancer. Around the same time, Dr. Yvette Miller, a doctor at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, published a paper in which she described the use of the drug in treating a type of lymphoma.
