Watch No Game No Life in Chronological Order

Watch No Game No Life in Chronological Order – Japanese isekai light book series No Game no life, written and illustrated by Y Kamiya, debuted in 2014. Sora and Shiro, the pair of NEET brothers who despise reality, are the two major protagonists that centre the story. They are renowned for being incredibly skilled and unbeatable in online multiplayer games.

One day they receive a strange email asking them to play a game of chess and they accept it at will and win, only to be teleported to another world where they meet Tet, the god of games. During Tet’s brief introduction, they find out that in this strange and mysterious world, everything is solved through play – the physical damage is blocked by magic.

The invincible sibling duo now have a whole new goal in mind – to become gods in this new realm!

It is no understatement to say that it remains one of the best and most popular isekai to date, even though many years have passed.

No Game No Life watch order explained

First of all, to watch No Game No Life in Chronological Order. you can start with NGNL: zero Firstly because it’s a prequel, but I recommend you watch it according to the broadcast date described above. If you decide to watch the prequel first, please note that you will miss out on some references and enjoyment. It is highly recommended to watch the TV series first and then watch the movie for maximum fun.

The optional stuff I mentioned to watch No Game No Life in Chronological Order are explained in detail below but you definitely don’t have to watch them, I don’t even recommend watching them as one of them is just pure fluff and the Manner movie is just a short instructional video about manners in the cinema. If you’re a die-hard fan of NGNL, you might want to check them out! Maybe you didn’t even know they existed?

No Game No Life (2014)

This is the main TV series to watch No Game No Life in Chronological Order.

It focuses on a genius gamer-sibling duo who land in the world of Disboard. This fantasy world is very different from our world and every dispute there is resolved through games. As you can imagine, this is a dream come true for these NEETS!

No Game No Life Specials (2014)

NGNL: Special Offers are very controversial miniseries that only contain fluff. They are visual drama specials that are included on the Blu-ray/DVD volumes.

It’s a bunch of ecchi scenes with poor animation and no plot. It’s like fan service no one asked for that revolves around daily experiences if you can call it that and they show some of their personality traits. Doesn’t add anything to the franchise, however. If you love ecchi, maybe you should check it out just for that.

No game, no life: Zero – Manner Movie (2017)

This is a 2 minute guide to cinema manners. To demonstrate the manners, they used cute chibi versions of the NGNL characters to narrate and perform the scenes.

No Game No Life: Zero (2017)

Alternatively known as NGNL the Movie, this is obviously a film that is also a prequel to the TV series. I actually prefer this movie over the original series because I love the characters. They also resemble Shiro and Sora with their looks and personalities, and there’s even an ancestor of Stephanie and our cute Jibril.

It’s a lot darker than the more playful and comedic approach we see in the NGNL series. This movie shows us the ancient disboard without alliances. Since there are still 16 sentient races with varying levels of power, it’s safe to say it was quite a dangerous place for the weak. Like humans.

We meet a young human warrior, Riku, who is determined to save humanity that is on the brink of extinction. The attempts seem unsuccessful until he encounters a powerful ex-machina, Schwi, who is determined to understand the human heart. And with any luck, these two may finally find the answer to bring peace to all of Disboard!

Is there No Game No Life Season 2?

No game, no life Season 2 has yet to be officially confirmed, so there is no release date for Season 2. However, there is enough source material and it has done quite well financially that it will likely get an adaptation in the – hopefully near – future.
