The owner plans to turn the place into something new, so it won’t be the same again.

So, Homer makes a promise to the new owner that he will bring more people to the alley within a week. To keep his promise, he starts working at the bowling alley and encourages others to come and play there too. When his wife Marge joins him, they both show off their bowling skills and start drawing more people to the alley. Eventually, they become so popular that everyone starts talking about them.
In the episode, Paul-a-Rama’s boss challenges Marge to defeat an enemy of his choosing to keep the place open. Homer gets worried when he realizes Marge’s bowling instructor has a romantic history with her. To make matters worse, Homer brings the same boy to train Marge.
Later, Homer confronts the instructor after he tells him that Marge is more than just a student. Marge tells Homer that she was never close to the instructor and that he wanted her to be with him.
On the day of the big tournament, Marge uses a Greek church splint to keep the alley from closing. In the end, Chief Wickham arrives and arrests the coach, and Kinnam-A-Rama is declared open. Everyone is happy!
