Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 Release Date
So, there’s some good news and some not-so-good news. The good news is that Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 was announced at a special event on June 19th, 2021! They even gave us a little sneak peek of what we can expect with a teaser and some behind-the-scenes footage. Plus, we can look forward to seeing the same talented actors reprise their roles.
Now, the not-so-good news. It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new about Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2. NUT Studio, the creators, haven’t released any updates in the two years since the announcement.
However, they did let us know that another one of their original animes, called Bullbuster, is coming out in 2023.
So, while we don’t have a specific release date for the new season just yet, it’s expected to come out in late 2023 or after. It’s been a bit tricky to predict because the show hasn’t made any appearances at anime fairs recently. But, we can still look forward to catching up with our favorite characters soon!
Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 Trailer
Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 Trailer was released on June 19th, 2021. Unfortunately, it seems that there’s only one character’s story featured in the trailer, with no additional scenes to get excited about just yet.
In the trailer, we hear Zettour giving an update on the state of the empire. He explains that the empire is now considered the enemy of the whole world, and that it will only take one officer’s life to make things right again.
Fans have speculated that the story featured in the trailer is likely from the eleventh volume of the light novel series.
However, this presents a bit of a problem because the first season of the anime covered the first three volumes, while the movie covered the fourth and fifth volumes.
If Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 is covering the eleventh volume, it’s unclear what stage the anime will be in.
It’s possible that the anime’s storyline will be rearranged or condensed, or it could be that the second season will cover a whopping six volumes over the course of 24 episodes.
Either way, we’ll have to wait for further updates to get a better idea of what to expect from the upcoming season.
Saga of Tanya the Evil Story
Let me tell you a bit about the protagonist of the show you’re interested in. Tanya Dequarezoff is a child soldier who may look innocent and young, but beneath that exterior lies the soul of a regular salaryman. The reason for her being in this mystical world is because of a self-proclaimed god named “Being X”, who reincarnated her into this war-torn world.
“Being X” has a belief that he is a god, and wants to put Tanya in such a dire situation that even non-believers will turn to God when faced with misfortune. But Tanya resists his desires and insists on finding happiness in this world. She enlists as a soldier in hopes of achieving a peaceful life. However, her country begins to expand its influence through war, and soon the world is engulfed in an ongoing world war.
Despite the chaos around her, Tanya’s fighting prowess is quickly acknowledged, and she rises through the ranks with a clear sense of purpose: to destroy her enemies. Thus, the story of Tanya Dequaerezoff and the Empire seeking world domination begins.
