How to earn and buy PokeCoins
However, before you buy anything in the shop, you need PokeCoins. That can be earned for free in-game, by defending gyms. You will earn one PokeCoin for every 10 minutes They defend it, at a Maximum rate of 50 in a period of 24 hours.
They can also be bought at a price of 100 per $1, with the value getting better the more you buy. In North America 550 PokeCoins cost $4.99while in the UK the same amount currently costs £4.49.

How to access the Pokemon Go Shop
You can access the shop by typing Selection of the main menuthat is the Poke Ball bottom center of your screen and then select ‘Shop’. The amount of PokeCoins you have available to spend is displayed at the top as shown in the image above.

Before you can purchase the items listed above, you need PokeCoins. These are in game currency for the Pokemon Go Shop.
