You can weaken or neutralise an enemy’s unique attacks in Sea of Stars by breaking their “lock.” A new Sea of Stars video demonstrates the Lock gameplay mechanics for Locks.
Another of Sabotage Studio’s customary movies promoting its upcoming pixel art role-playing game Sea of Stars was published.
Today, we witness an intriguing combat gameplay element that gives the game’s turn-based battles additional dimensions.
There is a row of “locks” above enemies that have the ability to cast spells or use special abilities, as well as a turn counter.
An adversary can be hit with a certain damage type to unlock a lock, which is essentially just a symbol indicating that sort of damage.
Before the turn counter reaches zero, the special attack will lose strength for each lock you open. The entire attack is cancelled if all locks are broken.
You can see how it works below.
The endearing, much awaited JRPG-inspired RPG will be released on PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS.
