How to get DirectX 12 Beta for Apex Legends

As previously mentioned, DirectX 12 for Apex Legends is currently in beta status for PC. That means you can test this feature on any platform using Origin, the EA app, or Steam.

Before proceeding to launch Apex in DX12, remember that your GPU must have at least a DirectX Feature Level of 12_0. If you are unsure about the feature level, follow these simple steps:

  • Press Windows key + R. The Run dialog box will open.
  • Type “dxdiag” and press Enter. Your GPU’s functional levels are listed on the Display tab of the dialog box that opens.

Now that you’ve checked the feature levels, let’s take a look at the steps to run the game with DirectX 12.
