Huge amounts of searches (there are more than trillion each year) make Google Trends one of the largest real-time data sets in the world. Those who discover this provide a unique perspective on what currently interests them and what makes them curious.
The trend data is an unbiased sample of our Google search data. Unknown (not one’s personal identity), classified (determines the subject of the search query), and aggregated (grouping). This allows us to measure interest in a particular topic through a global search, below geography at the city level.
Free Data Explorer on Google Trends allows you to search for a specific topic or a specific set of search terms on Google. Use the tool and you can see the search term with interest or time in a topic, where it is searched the most, or what else people are looking for in relation to it.
