Waiting for Gadot. Gal Gadot is reportedly back behind the wheel for Fast X Gal Gadot’s career has had a meteoric rise over the past few years, and now, her list of accomplishments includes rising from the dead, she’s reportedly on-board to return to the Fast & Furious franchise.
The Direct Sources broke the first news that Gadot will reprise her role as Gisele Asher in Fast X, which premieres in May 2023.
Gadot’s debut in 2009’s Fast & Furious (not to be confused with the 2001 original, The Fast and the Furious), was her first international film appearance and put her on the Hollywood map.
Fast fans may recall Gisele throwing herself out of a plane to save her lover Han in 2013’s Fast & Furious 6. This makes for a somewhat ambiguous nature in the tenth edition, and although dead characters reappear in later issues, Giselle’s death is hard to fake.
Whether it’s a flashback to her role in Fast X (or a daring turn as a zombie motorist), any revival for the legendary actress is certainly welcome. Fast X will see screenwriter Justin Lin return to pen the script once again, and although it will be Dwayne Johnson’s first since his debut in Fast Five, it will introduce a new character who will be replaced by Jason Momoa.
So fear not, fans of beefy tattooed men, we’re sure Gadot’s fellow DCU alumni will provide you with the eye candy and witty one-liners you need.
