
Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto die – Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto is a minor/secondary character from the Bleach anime & manga series. He is the Captain-Commander of Gotei 13 and Captain of the 1st Division holding back Gotei’s supreme authority. He was also a founding member and oldest member of Gotei 13 in Soul Society.
He appeared to be an old man with a long beard, and he had scars on his forehead and torso, indicating that he had fought numerous battles in the past, but the two most noticeable battle scars on his forehead were from the battle between his lieutenant – .Chōjirō Sasakibe. Although he is an old man, he has a very muscular and well-built body, he wears an ordinary shinigami captain’s uniform, but his height looks larger. He wears his haori across his back instead of wearing them.
His shikai and bankai names are Ryūjin Jakka and Zanka no Tachi, respectively, and his bankai is the strongest and rarest “fire”-based bankai in all of soul society. He was around 2100 years old as told in the manga and fought many battles; His most popular fight was with Quincy King YHWACH 2000 years ago, but Yamamoto easily defeated him and his minions.

Yamamoto’s appearance in Bleach anime/manga
Yamamoto was a minor character, but with the highest authority among all soul reapers in Bleach anime/manga. He first appeared in the 24th episode of Anime and Manga Volume 10, Chapter 81.
He was introduced as the main captain of the 1st Division, working only in Soul Society, giving orders to the captain of Gotei 13 Squad, captains, erasing hollows from the living world. But as the anime/manga progresses, his true potential was shown by Yamamoto in later episodes when he fought with his two students, Shunsui kyōraku and Jūshirō ukitake during the Ryoka invasion arc when he showed his reiatsu by using his Reiatsu aimed at Nanao and immediately caused her to collapse.

In the latest episode of Bleah: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 6, viewers see that he died at the hands of YHWH with Quincy’s sword after kidnapping his Bankai, which can only be used by Quincy’s King YHWACH.
In the anime, Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto die at the end of Episode 6. In the manga, Yamamoto died at the end of Chapter 510 – The Extinction, but in Chapter 511 – The Standing we see the actual death of our beloved Head Captain Yamamoto die and say that I probably won’t come back here again…
In chapter 510,
We see the fight between YHWACH and Yamamoto in full as Yamamoto displays his Powerful Bankai Zanka no Tachi and uses it against YHWACH to defeat him all over again like he did in the past (1000 years ago). At the end of the chapter he defeated him but as we know YHWACH is a very powerful villain and he uses his subordinate strict bitter “Y” as bait to stop Yamamoto while he went to Sosuke Aizen to free him and beg him to join, but unfortunately he refused to shake hands with YHWACH when he came onto the battlefield, he stole the bankai from Yamamoto and used his Quincy sword to cut Yamamoto in half.

Yamamoto’s death
In Chapter 511, the story picks up where it left off in Chapter 510. This chapter shows the aftermath of Yamamoto’s death as all the captains are in pain and JHWACH gathers all his subordinates behind him to completely destroy the Soul Society. As YHWACH wreaks havoc, he feels the powerful reiatsu and is shocked; the chapter ends there.
