Greetings to Honorable Principal, Honorable Faculty, Guests and all my dear colleagues present in the meeting.
Today I have come to present my views in front of all of you on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. I hope you all encourage me.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the father of the Constitution of India, was born on 14 April 1891 in Mow district of Indore. Baba Saheb is known as a Dalit leader, constitution maker and social reformer. Baba Saheb’s childhood name was Bhim Chakpal. His father Hon’ble Sri Ramji Molaji was a Headmaster. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar always fought for oppressed, downtrodden and women.
He chose universities in the US and Germany for his studies. But his schooling was not pleasant. Ambedkar was not made to sit in the classroom with non-Dalits because he belonged to the Dalit community. Even after all these high-low discriminations, Babasaheb continued his studies undeterred and soon emerged as a prominent leader of the Dalits.
In 1947, Ambedkar became Law Minister in the Government of India and played an important role in drafting the Constitution of India. He resigned his post in 1951. He converted to Buddhism with 20,000 followers in 1956 due to exploitation of Dalits. Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar died in 1956.

Dear Principal, Vice-Chancellor, Teachers and my dear friends – my warm regards to you all!
I welcome you all to this speech festival today. It gives me great pleasure to address this speech before all of you. You all know that today on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti we are gathered here to pay tribute to Babasaheb. His full name was Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar and he was born on 14 April 1891 in Maho, India, which is now located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This day (April 14) is an important day for every Indian. His father was Ramji Maloji Chakpal and mother Bhimbai. People affectionately call him Babasaheb.
When he was five years old, his mother died and he moved to Mumbai to complete his studies, from where he completed his Bachelors (BA) and went to America for further studies. There he joined Columbia University and completed his master’s and doctoral studies in England and returned to India in 1923.
He started his practice in Bombay High Court. Along with social work, he explained the importance of education to the people. He inspired people to fight for their rights and end the caste system. He wrote a book titled “Jati Ke Vinash” in which he discussed discrimination based on caste, class and gender. People started calling him ‘Babasakabe’ because of these social works.
He played an important role in the drafting of the Constitution of India and that is why he is also known as the Father of the Constitution of India. The most important issue in the Indian Constitution then was reservation. Baba Saheb’s main aim was to uplift the downtrodden sections of the society and their way of life and lead them to further development.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is remembered with great respect for his social work and the upliftment of the people. Actually, Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated annually on 14th April not only in our country but also in other countries of the world. Every year this day is a public holiday across India.
On this day, processions are taken by his disciples to Dikshabhoomi in Nagpur and Saitya Bhoomi in Mumbai. Dignitaries like the President, Prime Minister and leaders of major political parties paid tributes to him on his birthday. In his memory, this day is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country, especially by the lower classes. Along with this, large numbers of people gather in our country to garland their idols, pay homage to their exemplary personality and take tableaus of their characters.
So let us all celebrate this important day with enthusiasm and remember his overall development work for our country.

All respected teachers, principal and my dear brothers and sisters who attended the program. Today, on the occasion of Bhimrao Jayanti, we are all gathered here. In such circumstances, I would like to speak a few words before you about the life of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
We know Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the father of the country’s constitution. He was born on April 14, 1891 in Mau district of Madhya Pradesh. His father was Ramji Molaji and mother Bhimabhai Chakpal. He witnessed caste discrimination at an early age. It had a profound impact on his life. After this, he spent his entire life fighting against casteism and the progress of Dalits. He completed his primary education in the village and higher education in Mumbai. Intelligent from childhood, he also received a scholarship to go abroad for higher education, from where he returned to India in 1923 after completing his education.
Dr. Bhimrao was entrusted with the task of framing the country’s constitution, which he did well. Drafting a constitution for a country as vast and diverse as India was a challenge for which Babasaheb was chosen. We should all take inspiration from his life to fight and take on challenging tasks. Along with this, his life is a living example of struggle, in such a situation, all students should imbibe his ideal in their lives. On his birthday I would like to say that we all will follow the path shown by Dr. Ambedkar to eradicate illiteracy, poverty and untouchability from the country. This will be a true tribute to our Babasaheb.
